Sven B. Schreiber (sbs) This is a brilliant album - really really brilliant! In my opinion, it's even better than its follow-up "When The Dust Settles...", although this is hard to imagine. On "Decade Reference", everything just falls into place - the exquisite compositions, the great vocals, a stunning guitar sound, many exciting keyboard arrangements... a real joy to my ears, which have to witness too much musical garbage nowadays in exactly this genre. Too bad that "Salmon" obviously has done these two albums only... Favorite track: Shazz.

Came to this band very late and I must confess only because they were playing various dates with one of my firm favs Kaprekar’s Constant so I thought I’d better take a listen to what they had on offer...and well I now have all three albums and a huge convert...so much so that the neighbours will get to know them too over the next few weeks...if you ever get a chance to watch them live...you are in for a big treat...they command the stage and the audience as their own... To me, "Trip The Life Fantastic" was a must-buy on "Bandcamp Friday" this time. It's one of the few "Drifting Sun" albums not already found in my collection, and an essential one, because it marks the beginning of the prolific collaboration of composer/keyboardist Pat Sanders and lyricist/singer Peter Falconer, which was, in my opinion, the best creative pairing the band ever had.
